Bill Helin (Welaaxam Yout) is Tlingit, Tsimshian and Norwegian. Born in the Northwest Coastal community of Prince Rupert, BC, Bill spent countless hours listening to his grandmother as she taught him the many legends and songs of the Tlingit and Tsimshian people. Bill has captured the essence of these legends in a series of books and his “Culture Crew” and friends have been brought to life as quality plush toys.
Finger puppets help expand imagination and motivate new learning and Valdy the Bald Eagle will make children’s imagination soar. Designed by Bill Helin as part of his Culture Crew characters that tell the legends of the Tlingit and Tsimshian people. The national symbol of America, the Eagle is also a symbol of power & of peace. Ideal for corporate family days as well as aboriginal communities and their respective organizations and family events.
